Dr. Parsa is board certified in family medicine. In 2012, he graduated from family residency training in Chicago, IL and has been involved in graduate medical education ever since. In the same year, he began work at San Joaquin General Hospital as a doctor and faculty member. In 2017, he continued this work while simultaneously serving as the director of the hospital's residency program. He was trained in the no-needle vasectomy procedure at Christ Medical Center residency program in Chicago and received additional training with Dr. Doug Stein.

His medical interests include underserved populations, hospital medicine, outpatient medicine, emergency medicine, point of care ultrasound, and ambulatory procedures.

Dr. Assibey completed his family medicine residency at San Joaquin General Hospital. During his residency, he attained impressive procedural skills, both for inpatient and outpatient procedures. He then joined as a core-faculty member in this UC Davis affiliated program. Beyond residency, he trained with Dr. Stein in Florida to become a skilled vasectomist. In addition to being passionate about procedures and vasectomies, he practices full-spectrum, family medicine, including chronic disease management and geriatrics care, and enjoys academic medicine.
